About the Corps of Cadets
The Corps of Cadets is an amazing, exhilarating, but also trying and difficult part of Texas A&M tradition. The Corps will take any student regardless of their past and has the oppurtunity to take and transform them into amazing leaders both outside and inside the military or public worlds.
A strict regimented lifestlye is provided for freshmen and sophomores, and as a cadet grows not only in years but also maturity and wisdom they have more and more "freedoms" and privliges. Some people say that a "fish" year in the Corps has been their most difficult, stressful, and frustrating year in their entire existance. However every single one of them wishes they could go back and go through it again because of the friendships, laughter, and memories they had made.
The Corps of Cadets was made for everyone, and encourages all types of people to join it. The Corps will never simply throw a person out because they don't seem to be their "type", the Corps has no specific "type". The question is, "Will a person let themself be pushed to the limits both pyhsically and mentally, will they be willing to make friendships that will last a lifetime, and are they willing be a part of the Corps of Cadets?"
